Mike's pictureMike Carroll spent the first four years of his business career in frontline sales where he realized the many rewards of the sales profession as well as its many challenges.  In 1978 he was the architect, co-founder, President and CEO of MicroMagnetic, Inc., a company specializing in the distribution of computer related products.  He grew the company from a two-person organization to over seventy team members with offices in Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland.  In 1997 MicroMagnetic was acquired by Corporate Express, a publicly held international company distributing office products.  Mike spent two years with Corporate Express as Division President of Virginia with the primary responsibility of consolidating three acquired companies into the Virginia Division.  Mike has also served as a Director of three publicly traded companies with the likes of RCG Companies, One Travel, and presently serves on the Board of Chanticleer Holdings.

Mike graduated from William & Mary in 1971 and went immediately into the US Army spending two years as a training officer.  In 1975 he received a MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.  While at W&M Mike played football for some of the game's top coaches:  Marv Levy (Former head coach Buffalo Billis - four Super Bowls), Bobby Ross ( Former head coach of West Point (Army), Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers - one Super Bowl apperance and one NCAA National Championship at Georgia Tech), Lou Holtz (College football commentator, motivationial speaker and former Head coach of the Universiy of South Carolina, and won a NCAA National Championship at Notre Dame).  Mike coached under Bobby Ross at the Citadel with Frank Beamer (Head Coach - Virginia Tech), Ralph Friedgen (Head Coach - Maryland), and Jimmy Laycock (Head - Coach - William and Mary).   Through these experiences as well as the military, Mike learned and was exposed to many different leadership styles and behaviors.  In each scenerio the ultimate goal was to win through the continued pursuit of excellence.

Raised in the rural Virginia countryside, Mike Carroll understands the Law of the Farm - that natural laws and principles govern the work and determine the harvest.  He also knows these universal principles can be applied directly to sales and to life.  It takes the right attitude, behaviors, and techniques, and the desire and commitment to work the plans.  It takes hard work, reinforced training and practice.  There are NO "Quick Fixes" and There is NO Finish Line!
